The Smiddy

The Hamrun design library. Smiddy is the Scots word for a blacksmith's forge.

Laser, CNC, leather and pavement designs. Personalize one here, then open it in Hamrun to fine-tune and export. Every design is checked by machine before it's listed.

How the checks work: each design is rebuilt from its settings by the same engine the editor uses, then its cut lines are measured, not eyeballed. We check that every path is closed, that no line is cut twice or crosses another, that the thinnest strip of material and the narrowest opening are wide enough for each listed material once the laser's kerf is taken off, that nothing falls loose, and which common machine beds it fits. Personalized text is checked live as you type and again in the editor.

Free accounts download draft files; full-precision files come with Maker, coming soon.
